Congratulations to all teams for earning a berth in the NJYHL Playoffs!

The Bears Squirt B team upended #1 seeded Montclair to punch its ticket to the title game on Sunday vs Brick.  The Bears lost 3-1 but took home Silver and capped off an incredible year in the league.  Great job Bears!

The Bears Pee Wee A team lost in the Semi Finals to the Titans but rebounded the next day in the consolation game to become the first team ever from Flemington to clinch a spot in the AAHA District Tournament in March.  Good luck!

The Bears Squirt B team finished strong again with a 2nd place trophy after being knocked off by a very tough Kitchener team in the Championship game.  Nonetheless, the players and coaches did another outstanding job bringing home more hardware!

The Bears Pee Wee B team ended a fantastic weekend in dramatic fashion, knocking off the #1 seed in overtime to secure the Championship in Pittsburgh!

The Bears Pee Wee A team rolled through Pittsburgh, winning each of their 4 games including an 8-1 pounding in the title game to bring home their second tournament championship of the year.

The Bears Bantam A team knocked off Hollydell in the preliminary round and then again in the Championship game to bring home their second tournament championship of the year!

The Hunterdon Bears Mites took home the championship trophy from the 5th Annual Bryn Athyn Winter Classic Tournament this past weekend after sweeping through their round robin and playoff brackets!  Congratulations to all the coaches and players on their first trophy of the season!

Squirt AA Hershey Champions!

The Squirt AA team went 2-0-1 in round robin play before beating the Stars 4-2 in the championship game!  The Squirt AA team is coached by Graham Fair and has largely been together for the past 2 seasons.  Coach Fair’s team has the honor of being the first team in Hunterdon Bears history to capture a championship trophy!

The Pee Wee A team went 2-0-1 in round robin play, locking up the #3 seed for the playoff round.  Ryan Vandal scored with 2 minutes left in the third period and Max Padovani made a couple of huge saves in the closing seconds to secure a 3-2 win in the semi-final game against the Bayonne Rangers.  In the championship game, Coach Paul Cavanaugh’s squad broke open a 2-2 game in the third period, scoring the last three goals to upend the GNY Stars 5-2 to bring home the Bears second championship trophy of the weekend!

The Bantam A team rolled through Hershey, winning all three round robin games before taking down the Grundy Senators in the semi finals 5-1 and then beating the Stars 5-0 to secure the Bears third title of the weekend!  Jack Menichillo came up big all weekend in net for the Bears while Coach Hilary O’Keefe’s offense had no problem putting pucks in the back of the opposing net throughout the 5 game win streak!
