Flemington Ice Arena Mission Statement

Flemington Ice Arena offers a wide range of ways to enjoy your time on the ice.  Public Skates, DJ Skates, Stick Times, Open Hockey, Figure Skating, Adult Hockey and more.  If you are looking to learn how to skate or to pick up where you left off with skating or hockey, we have the programs to make it fun to learn.  Whether you’re looking to learn how to skate for fun or to learn how to play hockey or figure skate competitively, it all starts in our Learn to Skate (“LTS”) program.  Our certified and professional instructors will help you to increase your skating skills, all while in a fun atmosphere.  Once you’ve mastered the skating skills in our LTS program you will be ready to take the next step into our hockey or figure skating programs.  For Figure Skaters, after passing our LTS basic 5 class, you should join our Junior Figure Skating Academy.  Then you’ll want to match up with one of our top tier figure skating coaches and take lessons during our Freestyle sessions. For hockey players, after passing Hockey 4, the next step would be our Learn to Play Hockey Program (“LTP”).  The LTP program is a full equipment program that offers basic skill zones and the early fundamentals of hockey so young players can improve and have fun while learning about the great sport of hockey.  After passing through the LTP program, your path up the hockey chain continues with our in-house hockey program, the Flemington Youth Hockey League (“FYHL”) with seasons that begin several times during the year. When ready, you can try out for our travel hockey program in March/April of each year with the Hunterdon Bears Hockey Club
