Learn To Skate USA

Learn To Skate

Whether you wish to pursue hockey or figure skating or just be able to enjoy the occasional arena visit with family and friends, Learn to Skate classes are the first step to success! Each level teaches skills that encourage basic coordination, balance, and movement in a fun atmosphere.

It is important that the level progression is followed and that skaters demonstrate skills efficiently to staff before advancing. Instructors will evaluate students and give progress reports to skaters at the end of each season.

Learn to Skate Postponed Today 1/18/2026

Learn to Skate classes today (Sunday, January 18, 2026) are canceled due to the weather.

We will provide a makeup class which will be announced at a later date.

Public session is still open for today from 12pm-2pm.

Skating Progression

All skaters start in our Learn to Skate program. Depending on your age you would either start in:

  • Preschool (Age 3)
  • Snowplow Sam 1 (Ages 4 to 6)
  • Basic 1 (Ages 7 to 12)
  • Teen/Adult 1 (Ages 13+)

Once you start lessons you can progress to some other programs whether you want to play hockey or become a figure skater. Whichever it may be, we will help you get there!
